Lauren Lancaster is a documentary photographer based between Brooklyn and Salt Point, NY. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Time, The New York Times, New York Magazine, IO Donna, M Magazine and Fader, among others. Her photographs have been exhibited at The International Center of Photography in New York and the Canon Gallery in Tokyo. She graduated from the International Center of Photography with a Certificate in Documentary Photography & Photojournalism. Prior to photography Lauren studied History and Archaeology at Rutgers University and went on to pursue an MA in Shipwreck Archaeology at the Institute for Nautical Archaeology at Texas A&M during which time she worked on excavations in Kenya, Turkey, Bulgaria and throughout the United States.
